Forget dry January. This month, we are raising a toast to sustainable beer after catching up with Toast Ale. In 2018, Toast won the Global Good Award for Best Eco-focused Small Enterprise for their beer brewed using surplus bread. From tackling food waste to lobbying world leaders to prioritise industrial food production in the fight to mitigate climate change, we were keen to learn about Toast’s journey since receiving their award.

The Green Claims Code announced in September by the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) has come in to force this month after a review they led reported that 40% of firms’ green claims could be misleading. The green claims code has been introduced to help businesses ensure their environmental credentials comply with the law and therefore avoid misleading consumers.  This article by pebble magazine is everything you need to know.
